This blend of Syrah and Carignan has lovely ripe fruit balanced by lively acidity. It has a beautiful deep, dark red colour. Aromas of blackberries, soft red plum fruits and a touch of spice are followed by supple tannins and crisp acidity.
The 2019 growing season started with a rainy winter and a mild spring. Summer was exceptionally hot and led to a rapid growth in the vineyard. There were episodes of high temperatures in July and August, with some vineyard in the Languedoc suffering severe sunburn. Due to the good water reserves created by the heavy rains in winter and spring, the vines remained in good health up until harvest.
